Silvia Mocsari, founder of artisanal brand Honey Heaven, has dabbled with herbs and natural herbal remedies all her life.

Honey Heaven was originally started 8 years ago as a supplier of organic Hungarian honey, but quickly expanded into CBD, driven by her need to provide her brother’s with pain relief associated with his cancer.
My brother discovered that CBD could really help with pain relief and as a result, we chose to get involved with CBD manufacture; I wanted to make sure that he was using the highest quality CBD possible.

CBD Honey with Black Seed Oil
The latest additions to the range include a new premium full spectrum organic black seed CBD oil and a black seed CBD honey.
These combine the benefits of CBD with those of Egyptian Black Seed which is thought to have positive effects such as helping to boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, and lessen allergic reactions by acting as natural antihistamine.

Super strength CBD
Honey Heaven’s Organic CBD oil mixes full spectrum CBD oil with CBD distillate, (the purest form of CBD), to make the products extra strong, in fact they can claim they have the strongest CBD oil on the market.
Silvia believes that Full spectrum CBD and distillate are much better than simple CBD isolates (which contain 99% CBD and little else) because they retain many other natural cannabinoid compounds found in the Hemp plant.
Together these interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system which helps regulate psychological and physiological functions including mood, appetite, sleep, and even pain. This interaction process is known as the ‘entourage effect’ and imparts maximum health benefits to users.
Beware, Hemp Oil is not CBD
There are a number of companies promoting Hemp oil as CBD oil, when in fact there is a huge difference between the two; hemp seed oil does not contain CBD.
CBD oil is from the flower and only the flower contains the CBD which is the active component. It is wrong to miss-sell to people, some of whom are desperate and are hoping that the CBD will help them.
CBG and CBD
CBG or Cannabigerol, like CBD and THC (the compound that causes the ‘high’) is a cannabinoid, so it’s one of many chemicals found in cannabis plants. The difference is, however, that CBG is often referred to as the ‘mother’ of cannabinoids because it’s the precursor from which all other cannabinoids, including CBD and THC, are created.

- Skin care – CBG has three major benefits to the skin – it is highly anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant. Once CBG enters the epidermis (skin), it penetrates to the basal and subcutaneous layers where it helps calm inflammation, reduces blemishes, purifies pores, balances sebum (oil) production and assists with cellular turnover
- Inflammatory bowel disease – CBG seems to reduce the inflammation associated with this illness
- Glaucoma – CBG appears to reduce intraocular pressure and so could be effective in treating glaucoma
- Huntingdon’s disease – CBG might have neuroprotective properties that could help treat Huntingdon’s disease
- Bladder dysfunctions – CBG appears to affect the contractions of the bladder and so shows promise at treating bladder dysfunctions
- Bacterial infections – a study in 2008 suggested that CBG can kill bacteria, particular the commonly known, MRSA, which causes drug resistant staphylococcus infections which are hard to treat and can be dangerous
- Cancer – there is some evidence that CBG might reduce the growth of cancer cells and other tumours
- Appetite loss – it is thought that CBG could stimulate the appetite which could be useful in conditions such as cancer or HIV where appetite loss is common
